A flexible 4 step programme to better communication

Talking for Peace uses a 4 step programme to challenge your communication habits and reactions and instill new ones, leaving anger, conflict and ‘stuckness’ behind.

It looks at how you talk with others and with yourself to create a different understanding of your situation.

You come to realise that what happens to you is not the cause of how you feel, just the trigger. It is based around a core programme, Words that Change Actions, which can be adapted to fit your specific needs and situations.

Words That Change Actions

Words That Change Actions is our Foundation Programme that helps you discover how words influence your actions. It gives you practical tools that enable you to be heard, choose your outcomes and resolve your conflicts.

Mediation

An individually tailored service helping people wanting to defuse and resolve difficult situations, such as partners going through divorce, parents experiencing problems with their children or professionals with their colleagues.

School Programmes

Conflict is a natural, normal part of life. It is not always handled positively or constructively. In schools conflict often results in aggressive and confrontational behavior which may include bullying. We hear of conflicts leading to physical violence not just amongst pupils but between pupils and teachers. You will learn how to use the 4-step model.

We provide in-house programmes for the teachers and then cascade the process downwards. Conflict resolution skills and mediation offer an alternative way of resolving conflicts. Mediation is a process in which impartial, independent mediators support the parties in a conflict to find an agreement which is acceptable to all. Those in dispute, not the mediators, decide on the terms of the agreement.
